Building Our Future One Mind at a Time

Few areas of community focus have received more attention, or achieved greater results, than education. Jacksonville boasts two of the top 10 schools in the nation, according to Newsweek magazine in its ranking of the nation's more than 23,000 public high schools. Stanton College Preparatory School and Paxon School for Advanced Studies have ranked in the top 10 for the past five years.

Clay County has ranked in the top 14 percent in the nation and received the 1996, 1997, and 1998 School Match awards for providing "What Parents Want" in a school system.

Nassau County's students consistently perform at or above the state average on the Florida Writing Assessment, the CTCB standardized test and the Florida High School Competency Test (HSCT), which measures student performance standards in communications and mathematics and is a requirement for graduation.

St. Johns County students score above both state and national average scores for the ACT, and at or above state and national average scores for the SAT.
