INVESTOR NEWSLETTER - NOVEMBER 2009

International Development Continues in Northeast Florida
This has been a great year for international growth in our region. We recently presented two companies and one individual with awards for their continued commitment to enhancing our international ties and championing Northeast Florida to companies looking to expand or relocate. This year's awards went to:

  • The Grimes Companies, International Leader of the Year - Small Company
  • Rayonier, International Leader of the Year - Large Company
  • Roy Schleicher, International Leader of the Year - Individual

Visit www.ExpandInJax.com to read more about each of the winners.

Cornerstone hosted a delegation of 10 business leaders from Atlantic Way, a regional business organization located in Ireland, last week. The Atlantic Way delegation had the opportunity to experience Jacksonville’s Southern hospitality and Florida lifestyle at a series of luncheons and dinners attended by Mayor Peyton and representatives of our regional partners. They also toured JAXPORT and Cecil Commerce Center. I want to thank Zim Boulos and Office Environments and Services for sponsoring the event; George Gabel and Holland and Knight for sponsoring a dinner reception; and Mike Hightower for opening up his home to the Irish. It was a successful event that has opened up a number of opportunities for our region. Visit www.ExpandInJax.com to read more.

Join Cornerstone's Sales Mission to Atlanta
Cornerstone is looking beyond the global recession and taking action. We have organized a sales mission to Atlanta for December to identify new business prospects and build on existing relationships. We are meeting with corporate executives, site consultants and commercial and industrial real estate brokers in Atlanta who have been the source of many relocations and expansions over the last decade to ensure we continue that trend. We have a few spots left for Cornerstone investors to join us on this sales mission. Visit www.ExpandInJax.com to register for the trip.
